Does it cost anything to look for work here?
No. Searching, saving jobs, setting up alerts, building a profile and applying are all free, and they always will be. Employers pay to post.
Will an employer see my email address or phone number?
No. Your contact details are never shown to anyone. An employer who wants to speak to you writes to you through the site, and you decide whether to reply.
Can I tell when a posting is genuine?
A verified employer has sent us documents proving the firm is real and that the account belongs to it. Every posting is also read before it appears: most clear automatically within seconds, and anything flagged is read by a person. Every posting carries a report link too, if something still looks wrong.
How do I hear about new roles without checking every day?
Save a search as a job alert and we will email you when something matches. You choose whether that arrives as it happens, daily, weekly or monthly. Browse jobs.
For employers
Why is my posting waiting to be read?
Every posting is read before it appears, so that postings which exist only to collect students' personal details never reach anyone. Most postings clear automatically within seconds; yours has been flagged for a closer look, so a person is reading it, and we email you either way.
Does editing a posting that is already live cost me anything?
No. Correcting or rewriting a posting that is already published spends nothing and is never refused, even if your plan is full. Publishing a posting that had been closed or left as a draft does use one of your postings, because it becomes a live posting again.
Does taking a posting down and putting it back move it to the top?
No. A posting keeps the date it was first published, so republishing does not lift it up the list. Duplicating a posting creates a new one with a new date, and that uses one of your postings.
What does posting cost?
You can buy a single posting or a plan that covers several at once, and prices are shown before you pay. See pricing.
Can I see who viewed my posting?
You see how many people viewed it and how many of those were different people, never who they were. Applicants are yours to see in full, because they chose to apply to you.
Accounts
Do I need a separate account for your other sites?
One account works across Articling Jobs Canada and our other sites, with the same email address and password.
Can I delete my account and everything in it?
Yes. You can download a copy of your data and close your account from your account page, and the closure removes your profile, applications and messages.
